I used the trading cards site for a typically "dry" topic. I gave the students a specific species of bacteria, protist or fungus; a set of guidelines for the text info and let them go. They printed off dthe completed cards in color, I "showed them off" to the entire class on dthe ELMO and allowed students to discuss their particular card. They loved it.
